Fall Update

Hello from Cincinnati, OH. Fall classes are underway and I’m happy to report that 4LTR Press solutions are being used by approximately 1200 instructors at over 700 schools. Every day we hear more and more from students and faculty about their experience with 4LTR Press. It’s great to hear about the success they are having in the classroom… improved grades, higher levels of engagement, better class evaluations to name a few. But we’re equally grateful for the constructive feedback we receive: it’s the basis of our improvements we make with every new 4LTR Press solution.

We invite you to join the conversation (with us and other faculty) by posting your thoughts relative to the 4LTR Press idea… innovative teaching and learning solutions built specifically around today’s learners. We consider 4LTR Press a journey and hope you’ll be a part of it.

In addition to sharing your thoughts and ideas on this blog, I invite you to reach out directly to me to discuss your 4LTR Press experience.

Best,

Is this New Innovative Teaching and Learning Solution Right for Today’s Students?

First there was MKTG, then MGMT, BUSN and ECON, with many more to follow. These 4LTR Press titles started with your students, in your classrooms and hallways. Through conversations, numerous focus groups across the country on various campuses, surveys and interviews. We took the time to learn how students study – what works and what doesn’t. We also talked to instructors to learn of your pain points. We listened and heard your responses such as students don’t come to class prepared and that it is difficult to engage them. The results? Our 4LTR Press series. An innovative concept in teaching and learning solutions. A brief paperback that includes a suite of learning aids to accommodate the busy and diverse lifestyle of today’s leaners. Students love the shorter chapters and online feedback indicates they are more interested in reading the text without the “fluff”. They’ve also told us they love the printable flash cards and interactives quizzes and games available on our website. These and other online studying tools are getting pounded with hits each and every day. We are now starting to hear from instructors that they are noticing an increase in overall grades.

What do you think? If you're currently using a 4LTR Press title, tell us about your experience.
